Description
The SOLAS Line Throwing Appliance projects a lightweight line over a controlled distance to establish an initial connection during rescue, towing or emergency transfer. A rocket or pneumatic projectile carries the line toward another vessel, shore station or person in distress, allowing a heavier rope to be hauled across. Complete sets include projectiles, lines and weather-resistant storage. Throwing range, number of charges, line strength, expiry date, transport requirements and approval must be verified.
