Description
The Nylon Mooring Rope is valued for high strength and energy absorption during berthing, surging and dynamic mooring loads. Its elastic behaviour can reduce peak forces on fittings and winches when the rope is correctly selected and managed. Three-strand, eight-strand and twelve-strand constructions are available for different vessels and deck equipment. Nylon absorbs water and may change in strength and handling when wet. Diameter, construction, minimum breaking load, elongation, length, eye splice, chafe protection and certificate must match the approved mooring plan.
