Description
The Marine Shop Primer provides temporary protection to abrasive-blasted steel during shipbuilding, fabrication, storage and assembly. A thin, fast-drying film helps limit flash rust while allowing cutting, forming and welding when the selected product is approved for those processes. Zinc silicate and epoxy-based grades are available for automated shop lines and manual repair. Film thickness, drying speed, weldability, cutting performance, zinc content, application method, exposure period and compatibility with the final coating system must be verified before use.
