Description
The Marine Oil Gauging Tape is used for manual sounding or ullage measurement in compatible fuel, lubricating-oil and cargo tanks. A calibrated steel or stainless blade is lowered with a weighted bob until the required reference point is reached, then read after retrieval. Closed-frame and open-frame reels can be supplied with different bobs. Tape length, graduation, blade material, frame, bob type, zero reference, grounding provision, certification, cleaning, contamination control and permission for manual gauging must match the vessel tank and safety procedure.
