Description
The Marine Kenter Shackle is a detachable joining link used to connect compatible lengths of stud-link anchor chain. Its split construction allows assembly without passing an oversized end link through the chain, while taper pins and locking arrangements secure the completed connection. Correct dimensional matching is essential because chain diameter and grade determine the approved shackle. Nominal chain size, material grade, proof and breaking load, component set, pin retention, finish, certificate, markings and assembly procedure must match the vessel anchor-chain specification.
