Description
Marine Gland Packing is supplied for stuffing boxes on pumps, valves and selected auxiliary machinery aboard commercial vessels. Braided packing forms a controlled seal around rotating or reciprocating shafts while allowing adjustment through the gland follower. Graphite, PTFE, aramid, ramie and mixed-fibre constructions support different pressures, temperatures and media. Packing size, material, lubrication and service rating should be chosen according to shaft speed, equipment design and operating conditions.
