Description
The Marine Fire-Retardant Paint is selected to reduce flame spread or contribute to a tested passive fire-protection system on approved shipboard substrates. Decorative flame-retardant topcoats and intumescent systems serve different purposes and must not be interchanged. Performance depends on the tested primer, required dry-film build, substrate and certified assembly. Fire rating, approval, primer, topcoat, film thickness, application method, environmental conditions, inspection and repair procedure must match the vessel fire-safety specification.
