Description
The Marine Ballast Tank Coating is a high-build protective system for internal steel exposed to seawater filling, drainage, condensation and dry periods. Edge retention and stripe-coat performance are important around welds, stiffeners and difficult-access areas. Two-component epoxy systems are commonly selected for newbuilding and maintenance according to the vessel coating plan. Surface preparation, soluble-salt limits, stripe coating, dry-film thickness, curing, ventilation, inspection and any performance-standard requirement must follow the approved specification.
