Description
The Galvanized Wire Rope Thimble supports and reinforces an eye formed in wire rope, helping maintain the bend radius and reduce direct wear at a shackle, hook or pin. Standard-duty and heavy-duty patterns are available for different rope sizes and load conditions. The thimble must fit the rope groove and connecting hardware without distortion. Nominal rope diameter, groove width, internal dimensions, material thickness, pattern, galvanizing quality, deformation resistance and compatibility with the selected ferrule or wire-rope clip arrangement must be confirmed.
