Description
The Digital Earth Resistance Tester measures the resistance of compatible grounding and earthing arrangements used in vessel, terminal and shore-power installations. Depending on model, two-, three- and four-pole methods can be used with auxiliary stakes and test leads. Some instruments also measure earth voltage, soil resistivity or clamp-assisted resistance. Measurement range, test frequency, lead length, stake set, noise rejection, safety category, display, memory, battery, calibration and the suitability of the method for a steel-hulled vessel must be confirmed.
